liah paterson is a multi-media & teaching artist. they live and work in astoria new york.

liah’s work focuses on experimentation with mediums as a vehicle for storytelling and archiving. they utilize available materials in order to identify and explore the intersection of the urban myth and family folklore.

they studied studio art with a focus on arts education at the city college of new york.

liah is a cofounder and organizer of the rolling library, a free books and literacy mutual aid group working out of astoria new york. the rolling library is an abolitionist and non-hierarchal organization functioning alongside astoria mutual aid network, the people’s bodega, and the astoria food pantry (of which liah is a board member)
